Ed has been a financial planner since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Baker University in 1993 with degrees in Accounting and Business Finance. He holds the designations of: Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Ed is a registered series 7 representative and Investment Advisor Representative with Cetera Advisor Networks. Ed has built a loyal and diverse clientele by being trustworthy and listening to the client. He assists in developing plans to help client's dreams and goals become reality.
Ed believes that financial principles do not change, although the tools to pursue financial independence may evolve over time. His grandfather had a strong influence in instilling the principle of “spend less than you earn.” This is probably one of the biggest obstacles to people being financially successful.
Ed and his wife, Delaine have been married since November 1996 and have 4 children (Brandon, Tyler, Emily and Dylan).
Ed has been active in community service through his membership in Optimist and Civitan Civic Clubs in Lawrence and Topeka, active in church, and the Zeta Chi Fraternity. He enjoys being a part of organizations and projects that help the youth of a community and provide quality adult role models for them.
